October OCS 2010

Hi there everyone in Blogland!!
It's been a looong time since I last posted. It's been a hectic couple of months. With so many things on my mind to get done it seems as though I don't get anything done. You know what I mean? Well I wanted to post my October OCS on this post. This card was made for Denise from HI. We had to do a Halloween card and once I got into making them it was a cinch. At first it was very tough not to create something creepy and bloody.. but after I found some cool paper it was very easy to create something cute. I used some retired SU stamps that I won at a class that I attended. I used some die cuts that I got at Michael's I don't remember what company makes them but they were very beautiful to create with. Well I hope that Denise enjoys her card. Till next time.. enjoy the Holidays!!

Sept OCS

Hi there bloggers!!
It's been over a month since my last post and I have been creating a lot of things. I will sharing with you my September OCS today hopefully I can post other cards that I have created. I was partnered up with Myra from Hawaii. I hope she likes her card. This picture was taken with my camera phone so the quality of it isn't as good as I would like it but its visible. I used Stickles to the kids hair, the sand, the bucket and shovel and the lighthouse. I colored my image with my Prisma colors. I also used some cool shell button that I found at JoAnn's. I thought it fit this month's theme of Summer. I will miss summer dearly but no worries I will be waiting for it again next year... Ohh.. wait I live in California and well we don't really have to bad of a fall season. The sun is out all the time and even though the weather does change from hot to cold air I can't complain. I love Cali.. :) I hope that Myra enjoys her card as much as I enjoyed creating it.
That's all for today may you be blessed always.

August OCS

Hello there everyone,

It's a beautiful sunny California day today. I wanted to share with you one of my recent creations. I made a card for the OCS. I have been partnered with Linda and we had a theme, which has been new to me. But I like it. Makes my creativeness work harder. I used the only thing that reminded me of an Asian theme which is a cherry blossom branch. This stamp is from Rubber Stampede. I also added some leaves and some bees to the cherry blossom stamp with another stamp from Judith's Stamps. You can see the original cherry blossom stamp on the inside of the easel card. I then colored my image with my Prisma colors. The background stamp that I used is from Hero Arts and it says Friendship. I added some Stickles to some of the blossoms, leaves and some bees. I lastly added some hemp cord and some pink jewels. I did make some other Asian theme cards with some stickers that I found recently. I will post something later with those. I hope that Linda enjoys her card once she receives it. That's all for today and I hope to post something else very soon before the summer ends. :)

Long Post and new card to share

Hi Everyone!
It's been a long time since I posted anything and I do apologize. I don't know what has been going on with me. I still create the only thing is that I just forget to post. In reality the computer that I am currently using is a drag. I don't like it. It has a mind of it's own. Sometimes it works great and others it just doesn't budge. Since I do work with computers all day and sometimes the system is also slow I just don't want to deal with the whole computer thing. I do apologize for not being able to post like I have in the past. My family and I have been great thanks to God. We have been trying to do as much as we can during the beautiful California weather. Yesterday we went to Huntington Beach, CA and we saw 7 dolphins in the wild!! That was such an awesome gift from God. I have always seen dolphins in captivity but never out in the ocean. I can just imagine what it would be like one day when all the evil and corruption of this world is no more. And once again God is the ruler and King. All the animals will be free and we can play with them without fear of getting hurt by them. But till that day we can still admire the beauty of these wonderful creatures.
I am currently working on some cool little cards that I will be giving to my friends at church for Friendship Day. It's on August 1st and lucky for us it falls on a Sunday when all the families are there! I will try and post some pictures of these later on. But today I am just randomly sharing some thoughts. Sorry for the long post and I hope everyone is appreciative of all the Blessings our Lord has given us. Till next time take care and here is a picture of a fold that I created.

Diaper Cake

Hi Everyone.. I know it's been a while since I lasted posted. I have no excuse just not into posting anything.. but today I felt like sharing a cake that I made out of diapers. There are a lot of different videos on YouTube on how to make these. But once you get the idea you can add your own touch. I made this for a co-worker who had a baby girl. This little bundle of joy came to her after 15 years! I am so happy for her and her family. I used a lot of baby items that I know she will need for her baby. Not to mention all the diapers that she will have to use the first couple of weeks.
I used flowers to add a feminine touch to it. I wanted it to look like a cake. I was surprised to hear that the ladies that attended her baby shower had never seen a diaper cake before. Everyone was very amazed to see something created with diapers. I was just happy that my friend enjoyed the cake. She told me later on that she loves the smell of baby diapers. The ones that I purchase had a baby powder scent to them. I also enjoy that smell. I enjoy the scent that babies have. Just so unique and tender.
This pictured has some of the items that I attached all around the cake. I used her favorite colors which are purple and pink. I think it came out good. I hope you can try and make one if the chance appears in your life. I hope I can start blogging again soon and share some of my life events.

Mini Scrapbook.... at PCP

Hi there Crafters,sed some
Just wanted to share with you the mini scrapbook page that I am going to exchange with my friend Fiorella. She lives in Italy and we are both part of a group at PCP. That is where we met. It is an awesome way to meet fellow crafters around the world. I used lime green cardstock for the base. It needs to be a 6x6 piece. I then used DP from my stash that I have. I don't know where it is from but it goes very well with the background paper. I added some paper flower on top of some silk flowers. I used some Stickles to the paper flowers. I used the Majestic Butterfly from Rubber Stampede. I love Butterflies. I then used the letter F and inked it up in purple. I used my Prisma Colors to bring the butterfly to life. To finish it up I added some jewels to coordinate with the colors I used for the butterfly. I hope that Fiorella enjoys her page.

Till next time.. Happy crafting,

Claudia

Used some ribbon from Must Be to add some additional pink color to the card. I hope she likes my card and I will try and post her card which brighten up my day on my next post.

Purple Mini Album

Hi Everyone!! Guess what? No one won the blog candy I was giving away. Not even one comment.. how sad is that? So I started thinking why? Why don't they want my candy? Then I realize that someone along time ago told me that I needed to join the different challenges that are out there so that my work can be known and get more hits.. or whatever that means.. so I think I am going to start doing that too.. I just need to see which ones since there are soooo many... well anyway, before I can give candy out i need to get more followers.. so I will try and join more challenges to start obtaining followers. I hope that works.. Just wanted to share with you a project that I made a while back. I made a mini album out of envelopes. I don't remember where I got the idea.. but someone out there in blogland gave it to me.. Her favorite color is purple so the whole mini album is that color. Hope you like it and talk to you soon.

Birthday Card

Hi Everyone,
Just dropping in to show you my latest creation. I hope you get inspired by this card and create your own. I made this card for my friend Rachel. Her birthday was a few weeks ago and I barely made her a card. I think it's the thought that counts, don't you think? I hope she likes it. I used Popcorn the Bear for this card and I still used the same technique as the last couple of cards I have created. I used the same DP from the last two cards The Pocket full of Posies collection from DCWV. She loves purple so I used my Prisma colors to color the whole image. I also added a few buttons for the outside of the card and also the inside to help it stand up. I used some glitter glue for the outside flowers and the inside of the tulips. I used some shear ribbon for the bow. I hope you like it and enjoy.
